Sleep

Weston slept in till 10:30 this morning, and I think I know why!!!  See all the froot loops on the floor in front of his bed?  I'm pretty sure he was up for a few hours in the middle of the night having a midnight snack and wandering the house.  He does this a lot and sometimes Lynn and I don't hear him and wake up.  Crazy boy had froot loops all over his room and bed.  Other mornings I have found much worse surprises!!!  We need some kind of alarm system on him.

 You know your newborn is a good sleeper when you go to bed for the night and you wake up for the first time to your alarm clock!

Chubby Cheeks

Can you believe this chunk is only 5 weeks old?  She already seems so big to me.  Her double chin and chubby cheeks make her seem older.  

She was smiling today, so I snapped some pictures.  She is super fun, and I have to brag that she slept from 11:30pm-7:30am!  None of my other kids spoiled me with 8 hours of sleep!  Love it.  

Happy B-day Jaxon

Jaxon had a Super Hero birthday party last week.  He is so happy to be 5!  This was his first friend birthday party.  He could barley sleep the night before he was so excited.  All the Super Heroes had a great time.    

A quick fun story...I know it is important to give children positive praise, but if they never do anything good without hounding them how am I suppose to give them praise?  Well, this morning it finally happened.  While I was in the shower Jaxon unloaded the dishwasher without me asking.  When I noticed I gave him lots of praise and told him how happy I was and how proud I am of him etc.  Ali was close by listening.  Shortly after I go into my room and notice my bed has been made, by none other than Ali.  The praise continued!  Hopefully the good behavior will too :)

Island Park

We spent the last 2 weekends in Island Park and had a blast.  The first weekend we went with my family.  The snow was amazing, we had so much fun.  The second weekend our friends the Beans came up for a day.  The kids had fun on the sleds.  The rest of the weekend we spent relaxing as a family.  Island Park is a bit of heaven on earth!  I love it so much.
