Christmas Tree

We started a family tradition of cutting down our own Christmas tree this year. It was a challenge to get out the door, and I was a little worried that it was going to be a lot of work with only a little fun, but luckily I was wrong. It was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun and totally worth it.

Hot Cocoa! Lynn's idea and a great one!

Lynn and Ali found the tree and came back to get the rest of us to go see it. The kids had fun yelling, "timber" as Lynn cut it down. Then we dragged it back to the truck. I was glad we had the 4-wheeler.

And look how proud these 2 are of their tree!

I lOVE MY KIDS

I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -I love my kids - I love my kids -

I typed this 100 times (ok, i copied it and pasted it 100 times) because I really do love my children so much, but sometimes it is hard to remember how much I love them when I am cleaning up the spilled box of crackers for the third time in 2 hours, and when I am putting them in time out for the fourth time in 30 minutes for bugging Weston, and when I am cleaning all the sheets again today even though I just cleaned them yesterday because of wetting the bed and leaky diapers. They are everything to me and I love them more than anything but sometimes it is hard to remember how much I love them when I am making them a snack 2 minutes after dinner because they are "starving", and when they color on all of my bills and relief society papers and a million other things. I really do love them :)

I know all mothers can relate. I know what is really important, but sometimes it is hard to remember when everything in the house is a tornado! Wish me luck - I am going to go tackle this tornado while trying to remember how much I love them!

How come when Weston sleeps through the night I can't enjoy it and also sleep through the night?

Weston typically does not sleep through the night. ( I know, we are working on that) Last night he did, but I still woke up 2 times wondering why he was not awake and could not go back to sleep till I checked on him. I am so used to waking up with him, that my body just does it.

update

I have found Weston sleeping like this twice. It cracks me up that he falls asleep sitting up. I think all of my children have done it at least once. Good thing they are so flexible. It would be so uncomfortable for an adult!

I painted the wall in my kitchen a week or two ago. We also got a few things to put above the laundry door. I like the way it turned out.

NewMoon

Today Lynn and I went and saw New Moon! I must say I liked it a lot better then Twilight. Better filming, better music, better acting, but most of all Jacob. I have been a Jacob fan from day one. If I was Bella, this would be a no brainer for me, I would choose the warm, strong, dark wearwolf; not the cold, hard as stone, pale vampire. I really don't like Robert Pattinsons acting. He is not the confident Edward I pictured in my head when I was reading. Taylor Lautner on the other hand was awesome!

Happy Halloween

We had a fun halloween. We went to the ward party and then took turns taking the kids trick-or-treating and passing out candy. They ended up with a tun of candy, and will be going to bed with tummy aches they ate so much! Ali's favorite thing she got in her bucket was crayons and a coloring sheet and gum. Jaxons favorite thing was tootsie Rolls. Weston ate home soup at the ward party and loved every bite!

Island Park

Last week Lynn and I bought a ski off ebay, and what a great find. I love it and was so excited to try it out over the weekend! We went to Island Park with our friends Cortnie and Wray Kunz.

The kids had a blast on the tube- so did the adults! I wish Lynn would have gotten a picture of Cortnie and I on the tube. We hade such a great ride! I have not laughed that hard in a long time.

Friday night after the kids went to bed we played sequence boys against girls. On the last game we made a bet. Whoever lost had to go jump off the dock into the river. Of course Cortnie and I lost so we had to go out into the freezing cold night and jump into the black misty water. There were bats flying around, strange noises, and lightning in the sky, but we did it and survived!

thumb and yoga

Weston has found his thumb. He never took to a binky and just the other day he found his thumb. Right now I think it is cute, but hopefully he will out grow it at a reasonable age. Lynn and I both sucked our thumbs till we were like 7!

Today, for the first time, I did a yoga tape. I never thought yoga was for me, but it was quite the work out. I was surprised how hard it was. I still like a good cardio workout better, but I will definitely do it again!

Reunion

3 of my best friends from high school all came up and spent the weekend with us in Island Park. It is so fun to remember the good old high school glory days. I love these girls so much and am so thankful for their friendship. I loved high school, and it is because I had awesome friends. Sarah is sporting the red scarf. Her husband just finished law school so they just moved back to Utah from Virginia. She has 2 children. Breanne is in the pink next to her husband Brent. They live in Richmond Utah, have 2 children and are 5 months pregnant! Nance is in the next photo down with her boyfriend Aaron. Nancy is Lynn's intern at the INL right now.
Nancy and Aaron. I give them 2 months till they are engaged!

Jaxon

Lookin good Ali! Notice the boat in the back- It was freezing cold, but we still water skied!

Surprise!

May 31st Lynn turned 30 years old. I surprised him with a party. It was awesome because he had no idea it was coming and was truly surprised. Lynn and I were planning on going to dinner and a movie. We went to dinner and as we were on our way to the movie our babysitter called saying Jaxon had fallen and cut his head and needed stitches. Lynn was pretty upset about it and raced home to find Jaxon was fine, and there was a party waiting for him!!!

Lynn's reaction at the door.

Food and Friends.

Singing Happy Birthday.

My Favorite Place

Ashton Idaho

My grandma Larsen grew up in this cute farm house, and now her and my grandpa live there in the summers. It is one of my favorite places. We stopped by on the way to island park and had the greatest time eating, looking at the birds, playing with cousins who were also visiting, and admiring my grandpas huge garden.

A part of me wishes I grew up on a farm. I love to be outside, get dirty, wake up early, and work hard. Most of my friends who did grow up on a farm tell me I would not really like it, but I still think I would love to live on a farm in a small town like Ashton.

Roasting marshmallows at the fire pit.

I love Jaxon in this picture. The kids were a mess (what's new?) but they loved every second of it!

Grandpa gave the kids rides around the property and garden. They were in heaven!

Ali May's Big Day!

Today Ali had her last day of Joy school. We did a picnic at the Park. Then tonight she had her performance for her tumbling class. She did awesome in her performance. I was afraid she would suck her thumb and hide in the corner, but she got out there with her class and did the whole routine!

Way To Go Ali!!!

Gardens

Last year after we planted all the seeds in the dirt I stood back and thought to myself, "I wonder if it will really grow." It did and produced a lot of food. We just finished planting our garden again last week and I thought the same thing. Will anything really grow? Well, I went out yesterday to see that the radishes have popped up!!! I also noticed the lettuce and cucumbers are starting to poke through and our strawberry plants are starting to blossom! (You can tell I planted the radishes because they are totally not straight)

What I love: warm blankets right out of the dryer

What I don't love: This crazy Idaho wind that never seems to stop blowing.

What I love: Weston playing quietly on the floor.

What I don' love: Jaxon sneaking an apple from the fridge- taking it into the living room- taking about 100 small bites and spitting each bite onto the floor.

What I love: Gardens

What I don't love: Wind. If it blows all my newly planted seeds away I will not be happy!

What I love: Getting a good deal.

What I don't love: Finding out I could have gotten a better deal.

What I love: 7:00 and Fridays

What I don't love: Waking up with Lynn already at work.

What I love: Dinner in the oven and laundry put away.

What I don't love: WIND.

Busy!

Life is great but super busy! I definitely look forward to when I can lay down at night and rest especially since Weston is sleeping so much better. He slept last night from 10:15 to 5:30. 7 hours is pretty good! He seems to have out grown his colic and is such a happy baby now. He smiles whenever he finds a face. I really want to buy a jumper for him. I think he is almost big enough to be in one and he is so interested finding new things. I have been looking on craigs list, but if you know of a good deal let me know.

Ali turned 4 on May 9th! Super crazy that I have a 4 year old. It seems like I just became a mother. She wanted blue pancakes for her birthday breakfast and a marshmallow cake. I did the best I could. We had her cousins over for the party.

I am sad that Danny got voted off American Idol last night. I was rooting for him, but now that he is out, I want Kris! I think it would be fun to have a party next week for the final. Let me know if you are interested!
