This was a few weeks before they actually went hunting.  Lynn wanted to show me where they hunted, so we took up some supplies and set up camp.

It is so beautiful there, with the leaves changing and a natural water spring right by camp.  We took dirt bikes, and I had a blast.  I had never been on one before, and I loved it.  When they go hunting they take horses.  

This is his elk.  A 6X2.  One side had need broken off during a fight or something.  178 pounds of meat on him.  

The children love to see everything he brings home.  This year Lynn found a Moose antler for the kids, Jaxon is holding it.   

St George Marathon

A few weeks ago I ran the St George Marathon.  This is me at mile 7.  

Lynn's cousin Camie, my sister-in-law Marcy, and I all ran it.  We really did have a lot of fun.  

After the race we spent a few days in St. George.  These are the Dixie Narrows.  They are super tight.  Lynn almost didn't make it through.  He had to let all his air out and squeeze through some parts.

 We left our children with my parents so it was great to go to the beautiful St. George Temple.  So white!

It rained a lot and this road had turned to mud.  Beautiful sky in the background.  We were on our way to find some indian pictographs and dinosaur tracks, but our saab could not make it!

We spent a day in Zion's and hiked Angels Landing.  Such a beautiful hike.  Next time we want to do the Narrows, but it was closed because of rain.

After St. George we took off to Moab.  We have always wanted to do Slick Rock.  Moab was fun and we definitely want to go back someday.  

 I love this picture.  The Slick Rock trail is beautiful.   I think we picked a good time of year, because it was warm, but not hot.  There is no shade on this trail, just red rock the whole way.

Fathers Day

I felt bad because we did not do much for Fathers Day on Sunday, so on Monday the children and I washed Lynn's truck while he was at work. We vacuumed out the inside, ArmorAlled the seats and scrubbed the outside. We made him cards and a special dinner.

We love you Lynn, thanks for being such a great father and husband.

This weekend we had our ward campout. I didn't have my camera the first day, but got a few pictures the second day. We had a great time. I love our ward, everyone looks out for each other and is always willing to help. We had so many fun activities, 3 legged races (Sorry Burtons, but the Sorensens were unbeatable), gunny sac races, tug a war (i still think north iona won), candy cannon (Jaxon's favorite), and bottle rockets.

This was too fun.

After the campout we were pretty dirty and needed a pre bath washing. The slip'n'slide was a great solution.

It was a busy weekend and I was tired and did not want to make dinner so we got pizza. Weston loved it.

Last weekend Lynn and I biked the Weiser River Trail, a 80 mile bike ride, with some of his brothers and nephew. We did 40 miles on Friday, camped along the trail, and then finished on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and really beautiful. We saw some deer, a fox, lots of snakes, a bear, dogs, hundreds of goats, and horses along the trail (or blocking the trail!) Thank you Pennie for watching our children so we could do this together.

I needed to run 3 miles today.  It's windy outside but warm, so I thought it would be fun to take the kids down to the high school track and let them ride bikes while I ran.  It sounded a lot better than the treadmill.  The track is a little over 1/2 mile from our house.  Out the neighborhood, down a paved road and across the school parking lot.  That would be the perfect warm up!  So we took off.  It did not turn out quite the way I thought... Jaxon hit every pot hole, rock, base ball, etc. that was on the road and managed to get high centered with his training wheels 6 times.  He even ran into Ali once.  It took us almost a half hour to get to the track and it was all locked up.  There was no way I was getting my double stroller over the fence, so we headed home, everyone disappointed and Jaxon throwing a fit.  After a few minutes he ended up in the stroller next to Weston with the bike on top of the stroller.  Ali took one look at this and started crying because she wanted in the stroller too.  We squished the 3 kids in to the stroller, piled the bikes and helmets on top and I pushed it all home.

Then I still had to run 3 miles on my treadmill.

Bummer of an outing!

I tried to get a picture, but by the time we got home, the kids were driving each other crazy and needed out!  

We just got a new computer and posting is so much easier and quicker, so I am going to try and blog more!  I am not even sure what we have been up to the last few months.   Just sticking to our routine and having fun along the way.  The children and I did go to Utah a few weeks ago.  To see my family, and my sisters new baby DC.  I have been trying to run more lately.  Lynn has been trying to get all the yard chores done so that when the warm weather comes (if it will ever come) he can just play.  The children have been doing everything that kids do.  Making messes, playing, teasing, laughing, and a lot more.

Last weekend we went to Kelly Canyon and went 4-wheeling.  We went for a long family ride, and then roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire.  After the kids played in the stream, trying to build a bridge.  It was a blast.  

The weekend before that we went to Island Park with Paul and the cousins.  It rained and snowed the whole time but we still had fun!  We fed the fish, 4-wheeled, canoed, and made bottle rockets.  The girls (Macie, Ali and Myself) made the winning rocket that almost made it to the other side of the river!  I believe Lynn still owes us ice cream.

My sister Stephanie took us rock climbing.  Lynn and I have not been for a really long time.  It was fun to go again. 

Update

It has been a while since I have posted anything. So here is a quick update:

We went to Jackson a few weeks ago and had a blast. We went up Friday evening, found the hotel and went to dinner. We had intentions of hot tubing, but there were a bunch of drunks in the hot tub so that did not work out :( Saturday morning we went to the elk refuge and then swimming at the rec center and then we went tubing at snow king. Ali's favorite part was tubing as you can see from her big smile.

Weston turned one on February 20th. He loved his cake and ate two big pieces!

After cake the kids had fun with the bubble machine Weston got for his birthday!

Last night Weston burnt his hand on a gas fire place. Poor hand is all blistered and swollen.

New Pictures

Before church last Sunday, Lynn and I had fun taking pictures of the kids.

Weston turned 1 on the 20th!  I can't believe my baby is 1.  It has gone by so so so so so fast.  He has not been feeling well, so we have not had a party yet. 

I made bread this week and it finally turned out!  It is so yummy.  

I ordered some cloth diapers.  I wanted to try them out and if anything put them in my 72 hour kits.  I have been surprised by how easy they are.  I use a flushable liner so I don't have to rinse them in the toilet.  One diaper fits 7 lbs - 35 lbs so once you buy them, you never have to buy any more.  They are cute, and so soft.  

Jaxon hurts himself like 200 times a day.  He runs into things, drops things on himself, he is never paying attention to what he is doing.  He is always afraid of missing out on something and hurries to catch up or see something and hurts himself.  Poor boy needs to figure out how to use his body.  The other day I was holding his hand as we crossed a parking lot.  He tripped on his own feet 4 time.  At the bottom is a picture of a bloody nose he gave himself after falling this afternoon.   

The Biggest Loser

Help!
Lynn and I have been watching The Biggest Loser this season.  Last night was suppose to be week 7 and it did not play.  I think the Olympics is playing in it's spot.  Any one know what happened to it,? I really don't want to miss it.  Will they be playing it after the Olympics?  Has it moved to a new time or channel?  I know I can watch them online in a few days, but I'd rather not watch it online because our computer struggles.

Jaxon has been having fun with his little brother. This picture on top is not very good, but Jaxon rubbed a tube of vaseline on his head as well as Westons. The next picture is of Weston after Jaxon colored on him today. Someday Weston will be able to defend himself!





This is what I tried to get the vaseline out: oatmeal! After washing it twice with no improvement I called Breanne, whose daughter did this a while back. She said the oatmeal would soak up the grease. It worked better than just washing it with soap, but their hair was still a little greasy for a few days. I also tried dawn dish soap, but the stuff is invincible!

I was excited about my shopping trip this morning!

I spent: $6.34

According to Albertsons I saved: $55.57

One more funny thing!
A little bit ago Ali came up to me and said, "Mom I want to go the Stake President." I asked why. She said she wanted to see him. I asked her if she knew what the stake president was. She said, "Yes, the man who wears the black coat." I told her I didn't think we could see him right now. Then she said, "Can I go to Bishop Bean's house?" the conversation went on for a while, and she finally was satisfied when I told her that Bishop Beans wife Megan was coming over in a little bit for a meeting and she could see her.

Funny!
