Erin's Photo Shoot

A week or so ago I needed a picture of myself for something I was doing. I got on the computer and started going through our picture albums to find one. I never found one. There are lots of me and the kids and me and Lynn, but none of just me. I ended up cropping a family picture, but it just didn't look good. So, Gina and I got together yesterday and took pictures of each other. It was fun, here are my favorite photos...

We even got one of Ali

This are my favorite pictures of Gina...

I think we got some good ones and it was super fun to learn how to use Gina's fancy camera!

Last week I put Jaxon in his crib for a nap. About 10 minutes later he started crying real hard, so I went in to see if he had thrown his pacifier out of the crib. When I went in he was sitting on the floor crying. I am not sure how he did it, but I bet he fell head first. We lowered the crib all the way down, hopefully it will not happen again.

Then today when we were working in the yard, Jaxon found a mud puddle. He was having a lot of fun, but I put an end to the fun when he started eating it. (A lot of it.)

I love it when Ali fixes her own hair! She does such a great job.

I am tired today and Lynn seems to have so much energy it is driving me crazy!!! Not really- I am mostly just jealous that I don't have that much energy today. I think Jaxon feels like me because he went to bed tonight at 6:00. He didn't even take a bottle just fell asleep!

Over the weekend we put a rock pathway in our yard above the garden (I am thrilled with the way it turned out!!!) Got some manure and tilled up the garden.

We also bought some couches for the basement!!!! Anyone and Everyone is welcome to come over this week to watch the finally of American Idol.

I think the children in primary had fun with sharing time today which always makes me happy too!!!

Warm weather is here and we are having so much fun. The kids rode bikes yesterday for a couple of hours and then when Lynn got home we played more in the yard. We are going to plant a garden this weekend and I am so excited.

Earlier this week I was feeling like I was not getting much done. Like I was working hard, but not accomplishing much. Do you ever feel like this? Now looking back I realize that I have accomplished quite a bit. It is a good feeling. Here are some things I got done:
-caught up on laundry
-cleaned walls and base boards
-exercised every morning
-washed the kids sheets
-cleaned out the car
-spent time with friends eating ice cream
-made it to play group
-organized kids clothes (got rid of old clothes that are to small and got out summer clothes)
-spent time with Stephanie
-updated my mp3 player (which I have not done since I was putting songs on it for my marathon I ran 2 summers ago) Thanks Gina for your help!!!
-cut the kids fingernails
-made a new aquaintance in my ward
-took the kids to their favorite library
I know some of the things might seem silly, but to a mom getting fingernails cut an a wiggly 1 year old and a defiant 3 year old can be quite an accomplishment!!!

Yesterday the primary presidency got together to make some cards for the teachers, and to celebrate Christy Johns birthday. Check out the cute cake Amy Savage made!!!

Last weekend was Ali's birthday and I forgot to take my camera to her birthday party. We met her cousins at Riot Zone and the kids played on the blow up toys for a couple of hours. After we went to the nature park in Rexburg and ate pizza, played on the playground, and did presents and cake. Ali got a bike for her birthday and is getting better at riding it every day.

I have been working on some file folder games the last couple of weeks and here are some pictures of my favorite ones. I have a total of 30!!! They are a lot of work, but Ali loves them and they keep her quite entertained.

We fed the ducks today with Nicole and Garett. Ali had a blast throwing bread, and Jaxon had a blast running around. He kept his distance from the ducks.
We planted sod the last two weekends! It is nice to look out the window and see grass instead of dirt. Here are some pictures...

Erin's Favorite Books

While I was nursing Jaxon I got a lot of reading in! My favorite ones were:

The Twilight Series by: Stephenie Meyer

This is a must read for all females. Such a fun romance. I can't wait till the 4th book comes out in August.

These is my Words: The Diary of Sarah Angles Prine by: Nancy E. Turner

I loved this one and read it twice (which I hardly ever do with books). The sequel is Sarah's Quilt which I also loved. It is a little harder to get into this one because it is a diary, but give it a try - I know you will love it.
Since I stopped nursing (and sitting down all the time) I have only read one small book :( I need to get going again. Any suggestions on what I should read next?
